News and information on shetlandtimes.co.uk and all other websites published by The Shetland Times Ltd (“we” or “the company”) is provided free of charge on the basis that the company disclaims any warranty in material published. While taking all reasonable care to ensure that news and information (including that published from outside sources) is accurate the company accepts no liability for any error or omission and can accept no direct, incidental or consequential loss or damages arising from its publication.

All material published is copyright of The Shetland Times Ltd and/or the original authors, photographers or providers. Material is provided for the use of individual readers only and may be accessed (and printed) for your personal use only. It must not be used, copied, distributed or republished in any form or on any other website or commercial service without the prior permission of the company. This will require a suitable acknowledgement and may require payment. Requests for permission should go to webmaster@shetlandtimes.co.uk. The images on the website are copyright protected. The purchase of an image does not carry with it the right to make a reproduction of it in any form without the prior written consent of the photographer and the prior payment of a reproduction fee.

Privacy Policy

Other than detailed below, we will not disclose your personal information to any third party without your permission.

The exceptions are:
